Children's Python Embryos

The Children's python's, Antaresia childreni, eggs are laid at about Stage 35. The embryos have about 5 coils, pigmented eyes and a well-defined jaw. Below are several images of python embryos. All embryos were treated ethically.

At the very distal tailbud, you can see the neural tube is open.

I'd like to acknowledge Dr. Dale Denardo for the python eggs and Dr. Walter Eckalbar for extracting the embryos.
